Pano (Upper) Paphos is built on the hill and being in such an elevated position the sea views are fantastic. Locally known as Ktima this area has a daily market that sells local goods including fruit and vegetables plus leather and lace and an abundance of shops of all varieties. There are banks, petrol stations, schools, the municipal library, Town Hall and so much more. Buying a property in this area is ideal for location as you are in the hub of the town although properties are often situated in quiet and pretty residential roads. Just down the hill is the touristic area of Kato (Lower) Paphos which is built around the harbor where Paphos Castle stands. The castle was originally a Byzantine fort built to protect the harbor. Kato Paphos has an abundance of restaurants and taverna’s within the harbour and along the sea front where you can enjoy cuisine from international to a traditional Cypriot dishes including a meze. From Pano Paphos is a regular bus service that runs to Kato Paphos and to Coral Bay. Coral Bay where you can find two wonderful sandy beaches and an abundance of activities, restaurants and bars and perfect for entertaining families and friends that visit.
